About Me

My photo
Yoza
My introduction to Anarchism was via Noam Chomsky and Edward S. Herman's, Manufacturing Consent: The Political Economy of the Mass Media, I wasn't aware of the connection between anarchism and the content of Manufacturing Consent until I had read more of Chomsky's work. The basic premise of Anarchism is the legitimacy of any form of authority must be challenged and if that authority is found to be illegitimate then that authoritarian institution must be eradicated. Also, the onus must be on the wielder of authority to justify its legitimacy rather than requiring those who are subject to that authority to demonstrate its illegitimacy.
